LWCC is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28, not simply making “converts” but teaching people how to become disciples.  To that end, while we firmly believe in supporting world missions, we also feel compelled that our first priority is to our “Jerusalem”, which is Fort Myers. 

We have been involved in purchasing and handing out meals at Thanksgiving, giving to needy families at Christmas time, as well as supporting other ministries that provide such items as food and clothing to the needy in our own backyard.  We have purchased cars for those in need as well as taken up special offerings for various needs that we become aware of including a fireman's widow, a family displaced by the recent floods, helping with utility bills.

We recently partnered with Nations Assocation last Christmas to donate money & time to help them feed hundreds of families as well as hand out gifts to those in need of a hand up in our city.

Our desire is to meet physical needs so that we can have an inroads to meeting their spiritual needs.  In all that we do, our desire is to bring the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to everyone!
