What makes you happy? What bring you joy? two different things - happy is a feeling or emotion that you and I get when things are going our way or we are getting what we want for that moment in time. Joy is having the knowledge that whatever is happening in your life, that it will turn out for good according to the promises in Gods Word. Joy is not based on a feeling or emotion but faith in Gods Word. Don't let your feelings rob your joy - feelings can make us forget God's Promises.

Jesus said that we are to give to the poor/those who are lacking. He also says that when we give, we are giving to God and when we don't give, we are not giving to God. He promises to bless us for helping those in lack and also promises that those who don't....there is a real place called Hell. Jesus spoke of it and warned us of it - don't be deceived into thinking there is no hell or what is sin - the bible tells us.

Do you have Pride? According the the english language it is a noun so it's a thing - and you can have a thing. Pride creates distance in relationship (I do and think about things better than you) Pride deceives us into thinking, what I have is not from God it's because of who I am - I deserve everything I have. My kids, spouse, job, house, life - I'm a self mad man! But, the bible says everything good is from God. The trouble with self made people is that they worship their creator and not God. Pride will kill you!

The Story of Achan is about a group of enablers who said nothing to Achan about his sin and as a result he died, his wife and family. There are many families and church families with “Sin in the Camp” but it's overlooked it because: "It wasn’t their business". “It wasn’t theirs to judge,” Christians will quote Jesus saying “Judge not lest you be judged” (talking about tendency to point fingers without caring whether or not people changed) totally ignoring the other Scriptures that say we need to confront sin. So, instead they sit back while their friends go to hell and the God’s reputation is run down. In love we need to let people know when what they are doing is wrong - it is the loving thing to do. Marriages, churches, companies are falling apart because we don't want to get involved. It's time to get involved church!

Most of us our taught that it is wise to have a back up plan, a plan B. So, if things don't look or feel like it might work out the way we thought we start going a different direction. But, when God gives us a plan, that is His plan, this is His Way and there is no plan B. God's plan is to prosper us in His Plan not in ours. We can't deceive ourselves when things get hard or it is taking longer than we want thinking it must not be from God. God says when we wait on His plan it will change our way of thinking and renew our strength - don't go with plan B!
